Representatives of the delegations of Bavaria and the Voronezh Region agreed on the implementation of investment projects by German entrepreneurs in the region, the Press Center of the Regional Government reported on Tuesday, May 29. The foreign delegation is interested in the processing of agricultural products.
In particular, it was about the organization of production with high-tech equipment for processing corn and winter wheat. The details of the investment projects will be discussed at a working meeting scheduled for November 2018.
The delegations held a meeting in the framework of the agreement on intentions and cooperation between the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry of the Federal State of Bavaria and the Voronezh Region Government. It was held by Vice-Chairman of the Voronezh Region Government Victor Logvinov. The participants also discussed ways of cooperation in the development of rural areas, as well as agrarian tourism and professional agrarian education.
The cooperation between the Voronezh Region and Bavaria began to develop actively after the visit of the delegation of the region headed by Alexey Gordeyev to Bavaria in 2011. The parties agreed on the establishment of a joint program in the field of agriculture in August 2015. During the visit of the German delegation to the Voronezh Region in May 2017, the Bavarian deputies proposed the head of the region to establish an exchange of students between Voronezh and German universities.
