The Voronezh State University (VSU) and the Voronezh State Medical University n.a. N.N. Burdenko (VSMU) entered the Forbes’ best Russian university ranking. The list of universities was published on the Forbes website on Thursday, June 28.

After collecting 36.83 points the VSU ended up on the 69th position out of 100, and VSMU took the 86th place with its 36.19 points. The analysts estimated universities by ten parameters. The factors included not only the quality of education but also the statistic data on employment of graduates, the demand for them in the regions, the number of entrepreneurs among them. This lead to forming three groups of parameters: education quality, graduates quality and the Forbes factor based on the exclusiveness of universities and the share of entrepreneurs in the total number of graduates. The ranking does not include universities of law enforcement agencies.

The first place was taken by the New Economic School (NES, known in Russia as Russian Economic School). It gained 50.73 points out of 100. The NES turned out having the highest rates of requirements for applicants, education activity and the level of teacher salaries.

Earlier the Voronezh State University and the Voronezh State Technical University entered the Round University Ranking 2018. Also, the VSU ended up in the top-30 of Russian universities by taking the 26th place following the results of the 2017/2018 academic year.
