The authorized capital stock of the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association (VASO) will receive 4.5 billion rubles in 2018. This was reported by President of PJSC UAC Yury Slyusar during the meeting with Acting Governor Alexander Gusev on Tuesday, April 10. The funds will be spent on the technological re-equipment of the plant as well as the creation of passenger aircraft Il-96-400M.
According to Yury Slyusar, VASO’s problems with economy and resources are over and the plant currently has “stable workload perspectives”. The production rate of Il-96 will soon reach 2-2.5 aircrafts a year, and in the long term the plant is planning to produce 6-7 aircrafts a year. Il-96 is produced for special aircraft squad “Russia”, the Ministry of Defense and special customers.
Also, the President of the UAC told about the preparation of Il-12 aircraft for flight tests. The flying prototype has been connected to power supply and is now undergoing tests of the mounted systems. The meeting also included the discussion over the facades of VASO’s workshops located near new railway station “Voronezh - Yuzhny”. Yury Slyusar promised to instruct the plant management to restore them in modern style.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Gusev noted that the development of the VASO played a very important part in the development of region’s economy. The Head of the Region gave Yury Slyusar honorary badge of the Regional Government “Gratitude from the Voronezh Land”.
