All-Russian Festival of Folk Songs, Music and Dance “Na Rodine Pyatnitskogo” (At Pyatnitsky’s Homeland) will take place in Alexandrovka village of Talovsky District on June 29 and 30. This was reported to the RIA “Voronezh” correspondent by Head of the Department of Culture of Talovsky District Natalia Litvinova on Thursday, June 28.

Singing ensembles from different regions of Russia will perform at recreation centers of Abramovka, Voznesensky and Verkhnyaya Tishanka villages as well as the Oktyabr Film Theatre of the district capital at 19:00 on Friday, June 29.

The celebration will start on Pevcheskoe field in Alexandrovka at 12:00 on Saturday, June 30. The programme includes a performance of awardees of district contest “Young Talents”, an exposition of village farmsteads of Talovksy District and music marathon “Chastushka-Begunya”. Craftsmen will provide their works. The work of the museum house of Mitrofan Pyatnitsky will start at 9:00.

– For the first time on Pevcheskoe field the audience will be able to participate in a soap bubble show. There will be a functioning event mail and a photo zone. The festival chronic will be demonstrated on a big screen, - Natalia Litvinova told.

Children’s quest “The Treasure of Mitrofan Pyatnitsky” will be held in the public garden of Alexandrovsky Recreation Center at 12:30. The performance of art ensembles of Voronezh Region districts will start at 12:45. The metochion of Dobrinsky village will introduce a tea show at 13:00.

The gala concert will begin at 14:00. It will involve folk song and dance ensembles from Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Moscow, Orel, Penza, Rostov, Saratov and Tula regions.

A bus from “Avtostantsiya” bus stop of Talovaya to Pevcheskoe field (Alexandrovka village) will depart on June 30 at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30 and head back at 15:30 and 17:30. In the district there are sings that lead to Pevcheskoe field.

RIA “Voronezh” note for information

Mitrofan Pyatnitsky (1864-1927) is a musician, singer and collector of Russian folk songs, the founder and the first art director of folk choir named after himself. He was born in the village of Alexandrovka of Talovsky District. In Voronezh there is a street named after him and a monument on Revolution Avenue installed in his honor. The museum house of Mitrofan Pyatnitsky functions in Alexandrovka village. A film named “Pevuchaya Rossiya” (Songful Russia), in which Pyatnitsky was played by Yury Solomin, was shot in 1986 and dedicated to musician’s life and career.
