A new resident - Sinokvant LLC - will appear in the "Center" special economic zone (SEZ) in Novousmansky District. The company will manufacture LCD TVs, the press service of the Voronezh Region Government reported on Friday, June 19.
The investment project for the production of household appliances was considered by the Expert Council on Industrial, Manufacturing, Technical, and Innovative Special Economic Zones of the Voronezh Region. When opening the meeting, Governor Alexander Gusev noted that investor activity in the region was not declining. Sinokvant is planning to produce over 1 million television sets a year. The investments in the project will exceed 600 million rubles. The launch of the enterprise in the region will provide almost 700 jobs. Its products will be delivered to the country’s chain stores.
The start of construction of the factory and its warehouses is scheduled for the end of 2020. The first phase will be completed in the spring of 2022, the second - in the summer of 2023. This refers to the works on an area of 5 hectares where production facilities and warehouses with a total area of 30 thousand square meters will be located.
The expert council gave the project a positive assessment. In addition, the Department of Economic Development and the Voronezh Industrial Corporation were recommended to conclude an agreement with Sinokvant on conducting industrial production operations on the territory of the SEZ.
The amount of funding for the construction of infrastructure of the Center SEZ amounted to 458 million rubles in 2019. The total number of high-tech enterprises planned to be located in it is 20. The volume of investments of residents is estimated at 200 billion rubles. Governor Alexander Gusev set the task to fill the SEZ with residents by at least 70% by 2021. This is necessary in order to find the second site next year and begin to equip it with utilities.
