The authorities of the Voronezh Region are planning to provide an increase of incoming tourist flow into the region by 7-10% each year by cooperation with tour operator LLC “TT-Travel”, the Press Center of the Regional Government reported. The agreement project for cooperation in tourism was discussed at the session of the presidium of the Regional Government under the chairmanship of Head of the Region Alexander Gusev on Monday, April 9.

According to the forecasts, in 2017 the incoming tourist flow in the Voronezh Region had increased by 7% as compared to 2016 and amounted to 642 thousand people. The income from collective means of accommodation has increased by 10% and amounted to 3.1 billion rubles. The tax revenues to the regional budget from tourism (hotels, tourism agencies) amounted to 141.5 million rubles in 2017. 12 tour operators are registered in the region, 253 tourism agencies are functioning as well as 219 collective means of accommodation.

The agreement with the tour operator implies implementation of social events and expert work, introduction of international experience and the latest technologies in organizing the tourism activity as well as participation in training the personnel for tour industry companies of the Voronezh Region. It is noted that the execution of the agreement “will contribute to the creation of conditions for forming, promoting and implementing tourism products of the Voronezh Region on Russian and international markets”.
