The Voronezh Region and Italian region of Veneto will enter a bilateral agreement on cooperation – this was reported by the Press Center of the Regional Government after Alexey Gordeev’s meeting with Italian Ambassador in Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini on Wednesday, October 26. The project of the document was fully approved by the Russian party and is currently being approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
The agreement implies cooperation in trade, economics, science, technology and culture. It is not the first cooperation experience between the two parties – there are already joint investment projects, cooperation in science and technology and various types of interaction in culture and preservation of historical memory.
In 2014, agreements on cooperation with the university of the Italian city of Modena were signed in Voronezh. In 2015, Alexey Gordeev expressed the intentions for cooperation with representatives of the Italian business sphere.
In April of 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation offered the foreign colleagues to launch the production of Italian products in nine regions of the country including the Voronezh Region. The project is currently being reviewed.
