The Voronezh Region was included in the list of regions with the highest quality of life. The research was published by RIA Rating on Monday, February 18.

Moscow (77.371), St. Petersburg (75.687) and the Moscow Region (72.453) took the first three lines of the rating. The fourth place went to the Republic of Tatarstan, followed by the Belgorod Region and the Krasnodar Territory. The Voronezh Region took the seventh place in 2018, as in 2017. The region scored 60.757 points. The last places are taken by the Karachaevo-Cherkessian Republic and Tyva.

RIA Rating experts assessed the regions according to 70 indicators, based on data from Rosstat, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank and other open sources. Each region was assigned a place in the list based on the points received (minimum – 1 point, maximum – 100). The researchers assessed the quality of life in the region according to the following criteria: population income, employment and labor market, housing conditions, security of residence, demographic situation, environmental and climatic conditions, healthcare and education, provision of social infrastructure, the level of economic development and small business development, the territory and transport infrastructure development. The analysts noted that next year the regions’ positions in the rating most likely would not change, especially in the groups of leaders and outsiders.
