The Voronezh Region took the fourth place in the milk production amount ranking of Russian regions in the 10 months of 2018. The ranking was prepared by field-specific agency The Dairy News and based on the data from Rosstat. As opposed to the ranking of the 12 months of 2017, the region’s positions have improved – last year the region was in the sixth place.

From January to October of 2018, the Voronezh Region has produced 541.4 thousand tons of milk. As compared to the same period of 2017, this indicates an 11.4% increase.

The first place in the ranking was taken by the Republic of Tatarstan (960 thousand tons, +2.2%). The second – by Krasnodar Krai (798.4 thousand tons, +8.4%), the third – by the Udmurt Republic (533.1 thousand tons, +2.7%). The Voronezh Region is followed by the Kirov Region (516 thousand tons, +3.7%), the Leningrad Region (493.5 thousand tons, +2.9%) and the Novosibirsk Region (489.4 thousand tons, +4.3%).
