Voronezh high divers Nikita Fedotov and Artem Silchenko began their performance at the 2019 World Championships on Monday, July 22. After the first day of the competition, Fedotov took the intermediate 8th place, Silchenko – the 18th.

Fedotov received 67.2 points for the first attempt, for the second – 103.2. He retains chances to compete for the medals of the competition. Silchenko earned 67.2 points for the first jump, and during the second attempt, he took the risk and performed a jump of increased complexity. This didn’t pan out – the athlete received only 76.85 points.

Prior to the decisive attempts, Fedotov is behind the leader Steve Lo Bue from the USA by 23.65 points, and Silchenko – by 50 points.
