The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) included Voronezh in the programme of subsidized flights to Simferopol (Crimea). Citizens will be able to use the discount fare from June 1 to November 30, the Press Service of Rosaviatsiya reported.

Flights from Voronezh to Simferopol will be executed by Red Wings. The maximum size of the special one-way trip fare per passenger will amount to 2.5 thousand rubles.

The discount covers Russian citizens under 23, women over 55, men over 60, disabled people of group I of any age and their escorts, disabled children of groups II and III as well as their escorts. The programme will be enabled until November 30 of 2018.

For the first time Voronezh was included in the list of cities for enabled special tariffs for flights to Crimea in 2014. At that time, the flights were executed by RusLine air company. In late March of 2015, Chechen air company Grozny Avia stated its intent to establish subsidized flights from Voronezh to Crimea. However, Rosaviatsiya turned the airline away. Red Wings established regular flights from Voronezh to Simferopol on June 29 of 2015. The company had been executing subsidized regular flights to Crimea in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
